Sex og samfunn is the country's largest center for sexual and reproductive health and rights. Sex og samfunn works actively to prevent sexually transmitted infections, unplanned pregnancies, and abortions.
They have a fundamentally positive view of sexuality and work actively to reduce taboos and stigma. Sex og samfunn believe that the individual has the right to practice their sexuality and gender identity free from shame and stigma. They participate in the public debate to defend the right to self-determined contraception, self-determined sexuality, self-determined pregnancy, and self-determined abortion.
FUNDING - RFF OSLO
The aim of the Oslo Regional Research Fund (RFF Oslo) is to strengthen the region's capability for innovation and the international competitiveness of its' businesses.
RFF Oslo will contribute to increasing R&D efforts by mobilizing and qualifying businesses and public sector organizations to participate in national and international research. RFF Oslo will contribute to increased quality of research and to the development of good and competitive R&D environments and strengthening research for regional innovation and development.
For patients
The access to contraceptive implant removals at Sex og Samfunn will be unchanged during the project period. Patients book an appointment in the same way as before. Everyone who books an appointment will be requested to apply an anesthetic patch over the implant two hours before arrival at the clinic.
The anesthetic patch can be bought at a pharmacy or picked up free of charge at Sex og Samfunn. Those who choose to buy an anesthetic patch will have the cost compensated in the form of a gift card.
Upon arrival at Sex og Samfunn, the doctor / midwife / health nurse will assess whether the contraceptive implant can be removed with the RemovAid ™ device or if the regular method will be used.
