The RemovAid is a single use, disposable device that
- Standardizes the removal procedure with easy to operate technology
- Controls the depth and width of the incision
- Eliminates the need for access to sterilization equipment
During the design and development of the device, we collaborated with healthcare providers at Karolinska Institutet to ensure the technology is adapted to a real-world clinical setting. Karolinska Institutet, located in Stockholm, Sweden, is among the world’s leading medical universities.
In 2020, we completed a randomized, open label clinical investigation at Kawempe General Referral Hospital in Kampala, Uganda in partnership with Makerere University and FHI360. Results are awaiting publication.
